Firefighters honored the memory of the late Deputy Chief Frank Morgan, a longtime volunteer firefighter, with a flowering dogwood planted in front of the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department on the weekend of May 11. His widow, Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan, listened as arborist and former Chief Bud Neal explained the dogwood variety with its late-blooming scarlet blossoms. Mr. Morgan passed away last summer. The Watertown Oakville Chamber held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, April 25 to help Watertown’s Braxton Manufacturing Company, Inc. celebrate their 60th anniversary. For six decades, the company has been manufacturing challenging parts used in a wide variety of industries, including medical, electronics and aerospace. WATERTOWN — Watertown won against Northwest United (NWU) on May 8, by a score of 15-5. Not only was the score one-sided, but the Warriors controlled the time of possession and shot-on-goal opportunities, as well. There were 21 opportunities in the first half alone, to jump out to an 8-1 lead. Coach Michael Kenny praised his face-off player and midfielder, Andrew Brown, and another midfielder, Ty Housen, for controlling the ball and finding the favorable matchups.
